Jay M. Jacobsmeyer, P.E. (President) holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and Cornell University, respectively. He has over twenty-five years experience as a field engineer and researcher. Before co-founding Pericle Communications Company in 1992, Jay served for nine years with the United States Air Force and three years with ENSCO, Inc. He directs all engineering work of the company. His expertise includes modulation and coding, co-site interference analysis, radio frequency hazard measurements, new facility design, radio propagation prediction and measurement, ground system design, and broadcast master antenna design. In addition to performing field work, he has served as the principal investigator on six mobile radio research projects, one for the U.S. Navy, three for the National Science Foundation, and two for the U.S. Air Force. His technical papers have appeared in IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, and in ten IEEE conference proceedings.

Mark A. Wickert, Ph.D. (Director of Wireless R&D) earned his BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Tech in 1977 and 1978. After working for Motorola in Phoenix, Arizona for three years, he attended the University of Missouri, Rolla, earning his Ph.D. in 1983. Mark is a full professor at the University of Colorado and works part-time for Pericle Communications during the academic year and full-time during the summer. His expertise includes signal processing, communications theory, microwave devices, test and measurement, and electromagnetic field theory.

David L. McGinley (Director of Systems Engineering) holds a BS degree (Cum Laude) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland. He has over 20 years experience as a radio engineer and 8 years additional experience as a radio technician. Before joining Pericle Communications in 1996, Dave spent 20 years with the U.S. Air Force and three years with SAIC. As the Director of Systems Engineering, his duties involve demanding technical and managerial responsibilities. Specific responsibilities include radio systems engineering for Denver International Airport, site planning for Cheyenne Propagation Company and Bear Creek Development Corp., broadcast radio studies for Qwest Wireless, and interference studies for cellular and PCS operators.

Dan Mieszala (Vice President) holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. He has over twenty years experience in system design and radio frequency engineering. Prior to joining Pericle, Mr. Mieszala was the Director of System Performance and RF Engineering for Verizon Wireless in the Mountain Region. In this role, Dan managed a large engineering staff and capital budgets exceeding $100 million for a wireless network covering four states. He has held senior technical management positions for wireless carriers in increasingly responsible roles since 1990. Prior to his work in commercial wireless, Dan worked as a defense contractor on Electronic Warfare and Automatic Test Systems. He has also contributed to several publications including: "Feed the Beast a Workbook for Effective Communications Planning (a response to the Columbine tragedy)" and "SANDAG Site and Zoning Considerations for Cellular Communications Facilities."

Mark J. Takatz (Senior Engineer) earned his BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 1990 and 1995, respectively. Mark began his career at Harris Corporation working in the Advanced Programs (Space) Department of the Government Aerospace Systems Division. In 1999, he ventured into commercial endeavors with Tantivy Communications developing hardware, software and algorithms for a wireless Internet access system. He then moved to Colorado in 2002 to work for DRS Intelligence Technologies in the Advanced Processing Group. While there, he developed a wide variety of signal processing algorithms and associated hardware and software. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs specializing in communication theory. His interests span the breadth of statistical signal processing applications and systems, encompassing hardware, software and algorithm development. Mark joined Pericle Communications Company in January, 2007.

Brian T. Singer (Senior Radio Technician) has over twenty-five years experience as a Motorola mobile radio technician. Brian earned his Associate degree in Electronics Technology from Wadena Community College in 1981. He has completed numerous Motorola continuing education courses, including SmartZone, CCTV, SABER, Securenet, bidirectional amplifier system design, LTR trunking design, and radio frequency safety awareness.
