A Leader in Wireless Engineering

Pericle Communications Company is a nationally recognized consulting engineering firm specializing in wireless communications. Incorporated in 1992, Pericle is headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The company is named after Pericle Rock, a rock formation on Pikes Peak popular with climbers. Pericle provides consulting engineering services to public safety agencies, airports, local governments, and to the cellular, broadcast, aviation, and utility industries. Five of our employees hold four-year degrees in electrical engineering and one is a senior radio technician with over 30 years experience with Motorola and Harris radio systems. Our owner, Jay Jacobsmeyer, has over 30 years experience in the industry and is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Colorado.

Our consulting services span the gamut of wireless engineering, including RFP preparation, coverage modeling, drive test measurements, interference hunting, microwave path prediction, traffic engineering and RF exposure measurements. We have invested over $250,000 in test equipment and engineering software to help perform these services.

In addition to our consulting services, we also develop specialized receivers for U.S. Government customers. These receivers are used for wireless communications, signals intelligence and radar. Many of our receivers have flown from high altitude platforms where they are used to geolocate uncooperative ground transmitters. Pericle also built the communications payload for the U.S. Army’s SMDC-ONE nanosatellite launched in December, 2010 (prime contractor — Miltec). A second generation communications payload employing a software defined radio was delivered in 2013. Other Federal Government projects include high altitude broadband communications links, balloon-borne radio repeaters and a passive bistatic radar for detecting low-flying cruise missiles and other small cross section targets.
